Adventure Goals

I’ve set less adventure goals than usual as I’m set to have a pretty big adventure in August this year when I move to Thailand for 6 months. Still, some real fun stuff there : )

1. Bungee Jump Completed 17th April… phew!
2. Scuba Dive
3. Freefall Parachute Jump
4. Climb a mountain
5. Wilderness camping with my sons
6. Fly plane
7. Fly helicopter
8. Take hot air balloon flight
9. Go white water rafting
10. Go go-carting Completed 16th April – Connor and I had great fun! : )

Family

My family goals are all quite low-key as the family already spends a lot of time together doing some great stuff. It’s mostly about seeing shows, eating out together or spending time helping each other to accomplish something that’s important.

11. Move to Thailand on mini-retirement
12. Teach my son Reece to drive
13. Take Deana to a day spa
14. Take family to ‘We Will Rock You’
15. Take family camping
16. Take family to Hard Rock Cafe (they love it there) Completed April 18th @ Hardock Phuket

Health

I’ve got some interesting challenges ahead of me here. Nothing outrageously hard but with the business and financial goals I’ve set for myself this time around, you can bet they’ll stretch me.

24. Complete a 5 day fast
25. Go vegetarian for 1 month Completed 30th May
26. Complete 50 days of elimination diet
27. Get a 32″ waist
28. Deadlift 500lb
29. Perform 50 consecutive chinups
30. Perform 200 consecutive pushups
31. Perform 50,000 pushups in 100 days
32. Perform 50,000 squats in 100 days
33. Run a marathon distance
34. Get a massage at least once a week
35. Run a mile in under 6 minutes

Spiritual Goals

Things I’ve wanted to do for a while but not gotten around to or been consistent enough with them. I’ll take care of that this time.

36. Meditate daily for 20 mins
37. Read from either Bible, Koran, Torah, Bhagavad Gita or other holy scripture daily
38. Read ‘Course in miracles’ daily
39. Visit church
40. Visit mosque
41. Visit Buddhist temple Completed 14th april
42. Visit Hindu temple
43. Visit Jewish temple
44. Spend 1 entire day in silence (including ipod)
45. Talk with catholic priest about religion
46. Talk with Buddhist monk about religion

49. Complete my metaphysics degree (I’m a bit behind with my coursework)

Education Goals

I read a heck of a lot. On average about 130 plus books a year but I also have a very extensive (and expensive) collection of audio programs that I tend to forget about or run out of time for. I’ll get through them all this time : )

50. Learn enough Thai to have a 5 minute conversation

      Hi Dax

      Thanks for sharing. I am a little confused, and it is something I have struggled with in the Magic 100. For example when you say ‘learn to fly a plane’ Id that something you expect to be able to achieve in 100 days because that would not be possible from scratch? Or is it something that you start, or continue during the 100 days? Are your goals meant to be finished in the 100 days or be done during (and possible beyond) the 100 days? Many thanks for your honesty!

      Well anyways here they are:

      ADVENTURE

      1. Whatcom Falls trails
      2. once a week walk a new bike trail w/Patrick
      3. go on a nature hike with Patrick
      4. Have Patrick teach me how to skateboard properly
      5. Get the bike out and go bike riding
      6. Go to the Rock Sculpture
      7. Hovander Homestead Park
      8. Go to Cornwall Park
      9. Go to Lake Padden and walk around it.
      10. Go to Larrabee State Park
      11. Go to Blaine and find the Hammock tree on the Bay.
      12.Deming Homestead Eagle Park
      13.Stimpson Family Nature Reserve
      14.Lighthouse Marine Park (it would be way awesome to see a pod of Orcas)
      15. Take Patrick to the Whatcom Children’s Museum (Doing anything with an 8 yr old is an adventure in itself)
      16. Taking Patrick to the Aquarium

      FAMILY

      1. Take Patrick to a movie at least twice
      2. Take Patrick to a sit down restaurant once. His choice
      3. Eat at the table every night
      4. Help Patrick with his homework and read to him every night.
      5. Redecorate the house.
      6. Organize the house
      7. get the dryer fixed
      8. Fill out financial aid forms for Josh and me
      9. Plant the flowers
      10. go to a different park with Patrick once a week
      11. Go to the Library and pay off Josh’s fines
      12. Go to the Library and pay off my late dues
      13. Go to the Library once a week
      14. Get a better relationship with my Dad.
      15. Get in touch with my siblings more than I do now.

      HEALTH

      1. Get off the coffee habit.
      2. lose 50 lbs
      3. Complete 30 days of elimination diet
      4. walk 1 mile a day and work way up to 2
      7. Perform 20 consecutive push ups (This is my 19 yr olds goal for his Mom!)
      8. Perform 500 push ups in 100 days (Again a challenge from my 19 yr old, the brat!)
      9. DO the 30 day elimination diet
      10. do the tactic workout
      11. Drink recommended amount of water everyday
      12. eat more fruits and veggies.
      13. Do the 6 wbmo
      14. Do the lose a size a week
      15. Inflate exercise balls and use them
      16. Go to the Doctor and get a check up
      17. Get eyes checked

      Spiritual Goals

      1. Quiet time 1/2 hr before bed
      2. Read the Angel book daily
      3. Read 4 Agreements daily
      4. Be impeccable with my word
      5. Don’t take anything personally
      6. Don’t make Assumptions
      7. Always do your best
      8. Write the 3 best things that happened during the day. Hopefully more.
      9. Learn more about Vedic astrology
      10. Learn more about the Toltecs

      Education Goals

      1. Read the Coffee shop book
      2. Read the book on mythology
      3. Read the good, the bad and the mad
      4. Read Mending the Broken Pond
      5. Learn to ride a skateboard
      6. Learn to ride inline skates

      8. Plan a trip for Sherman’s March
