Day Three Of Challenge.. Your Relationship Workout
Today’s message was about working on your relationships goals and taking the action necessary to resuscitate a relationship that’s been starving for air for a little while.
We discussed why this is important.
It’s not about them as much as it’s about you and getting what YOU want from life.
Did you do it?
Did you make contact?
Leave a comment in the comments section and tell us what you did and how it felt and any impact it may have had already.
We want to know! : )

I received an email yesterday from a friend who had a new email address, all it was was the new addy. We hadn’t written for quite awhile. I took the opportunity to write a lengthy email. It was great to reflect on how my life is going, got me to thinking about how she and her young family are, and I am excitedly awaiting a reply. It is my intention to be consistent in contact in future…and it is making me aware of others who I could contact also…

My friend Lisa moved to NC. I don’t have a phone number, however, I sent her an email letting her know that I am thinking of her. I get to see if she will respond.

I sent a message to my cousin who I have lost touch with. We both have children of similar ages, but don’t live close enough to meet and keep falling out of touch by e-mail. I do like to hear how she is doing though, so will try and make more effort to keep this up in the future.

Called a friend that has persistently kept in contact with me and I have used this as an excuse but when I speak to her I realise what a wonderful person she is.

Something went wrong there with my last post…I meant to say that there is no relationship between our husbands so no weekends together. But that shouldn’t be a reason not to keep in touch. Have arranged to meet up and looking forward to it.

I rang my grandmother who I had not spoken to in a couple of weeks. She is stuck at home, hard to move, so she was very pleased to hear from me! Ill pop in and see her next week too now.
thanks Dax!

i made a breakthrough. i was having a pretty tough time and yet i reached out and phoned two friends… one dear friend was so pleased to hear me that she said i made her day. she made my day in saying that, she pulled me up with her smile! the other friend expressed sincere greetings and soon we found out we had been going through some same insightful experiences, which i was glad we shared… so it pays at the end to reach out and share! it pays

This was tough for me. But I did it. I didn’t want to, but it’s called a challenge for a reason, eh?
I called my mom. Always tough ~ not the calling so much, or the initial “hi”, but the tension following and the hard feelings. Surprisingly she was gracious, and thankful that I called. She said that she’d been thinking of me ~ wow! I want so much to mend this relationship and I know that this challenge was in place for a reason. A good reason that benefits those of us who choose to live our lives in the knowledge that the universe wants us to be happy. It is up to us to take the actions necessary to make ourselves happy.

I sent an email to a friend I hadn’t kept in touch with as well as I should. Also another person whom I’ve been avoiding because I “didn’t want to be bothered” called me and we had a nice chat when I let go and stopped attributing ulterior motives to his call.
I have more relationships to work on but that is all I can handle in one day.

I wrote a letter to an aunt I haven’t seen in 4 years. The basic communication between us has been forwarding e-mail jokes, etc. since my uncle died. A hand written letter made me sit down and think about what I wanted to say.
