Most of the time we go through life feeling like no-one really ‘gets’ or understands us.

Most of the time we’re just waiting for someone to notice our plight and offer us just a few words of encouragement, a few golden nuggets of wisdom or maybe even a hug.

And, of course, when we actually GET those encouragements, words of wisdom and hugs we feel great, right?

So think on this…

What do you think life would be like if YOU were giving the encouragement, words of wisdom and hugs to others?

Don’t you think you’d change their lives, even if only for a few moments, hours, days or weeks?

Don’t you think that being the giver of those things you most want to receive for yourself would put you in a better position to attract them to you?

Ever heard the saying “as you sow, so shall you reap” by any chance?

It’s the strangest of all truths, but that which you pay forward always, always, ALWAYS gets paid back.

Pay it forward today and see the truth of this for yourself.

Reach out, touch and help someone today.

Buy someone a card.

Send flowers.

Buy a cup of coffee for someone you don’t normally buy for.

Take the time for a chat.

Phone your mum.

Hug your kids, even the grown up ones.

Pay it forward, change someone’s life then change yours as a result.

Truth, joy and love
From Goal SETTING To Goal GETTING

P.S - When you’ve paid forward, come back and tell me what you did and how it made you feel.

Please?

Well, I’m here in Thailand writing the new goal achievement program that I promised my readers last year and it’s shaping up nicely : )

I’m covering tons of new areas and a lot of old ground as well but in very new ways that’ll make them much more impactful when applied. It’s a huge task to write something like this in this genre but it’s fun and Thailand makes it a great experience too.

But I need your help… please!

I need to know what YOU want in the book.

What things do you feel always get missed out or not taught enough by the goals guru’s?

What do you REALLY want to know about achieving your goals?

Post your comments here on the blog and I’ll make sure they get answered in the program : )

I really want this program to hit the spot for you and help many, many people achieve their goals even faster : )

Thanks in advance!

Liar, Liar!

Have you ever noticed how many good, honest, hardworking people turn into liars at New Year?

It’s an amazing thing to watch as people from all walks of life, all ages and both sexes, go through the whole New Year’s resolution ‘thing’ and tell themselves lies about what the next 12 months will bring them.

You know what I mean.

11.59pm on New Year’s Eve you turn to a loved one and say “This year is going to be different. I’m really going to achieve some great things!” and for that one minute, that one moment in time, you mean it.

You REALLY mean it!

You are fired up, raring to go and ready, willing and (despite the glass of champagne in your hand) able to commit to that new diet, getting that payrise or new job, starting that company, writing that book and a whole host of other great sounding things.

Then the bells ring in the New Year and a funny thing happens.

January 1st rolls around and, whilst the goals are still in your head, they don’t seem as important anymore. (maybe it’s the champagne?)

January 2nd comes and by lunchtime you’re telling yourself that some of your goals are ‘just silly fantasies’ and you scratch them off your list.

January 3rd arrives and, despite a much shorter list than you had just 2 days before, you start to tell yourself that “I’ve got all year to do this. I don’t have to start right now. Let me just ‘settle in’ to the year first and ‘get myself sorted’ and THEN I’ll work on my goals”

Like I said, all lies!

In fact, there are FOUR lies that are used more often than any others at this time of year. Pay attention and you might recognise a few of them from New Year’s gone by…

Lie number one: ‘This year is going to be different’

For some reason, this seems to be one of the most popular of all the lies we tell ourselves yet, the truth of the matter is, for most people, sad though it is, 2010 is going to be EXACTLY the same as 2009 was.

Why?

Because, despite their initial optimism and excitement at what they new year will bring, their strategy is EXACTLY the same as it was last year and, as the saying goes, if you keep on doing what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.

Most people aren’t looking to MAKE many changes, they just WANT changes to happen.

They’re not really looking to address CAUSES of their shortcomings, they just want the EFFECTS to go away all by themselves.

Sound familiar?

Lie number two: ‘The goals don’t seem as important anymore’

Fibber!

Yes they are!

They’re every bit as important as they were 24 hours ago it’s just that somewhere deep down you’ve started to persuade yourself that your goals are somehow unachievable and, if the truth be known, you’re scared about failing so instead you lie about their importance.

If not that then you’ve suddenly realised that the price to achieve them is a little more than you’re actually willing to pay.

That new diet.

The new training program.

The savings account.

The new job.

Sure, you’d like the new body, the better health, the extra wealth and freedom but DOING what needs to be done is the problem so you lie and pretend that the goals are no longer appealing.

Tsk, tsk!

Lie number three: ‘They’re just silly fantasies’
This is a continuation of lie number two but much more harmful.

With this lie you’ve started to rationalise and justify why your goals are impossible and use all kinds of excuses disguised as ‘reasons’ as to why your goals are unrealistic… the biggest lie of all!

Every single one of your goals is yours for the taking if you’re committed to making them happen. EVERY one!

All you have to do is commit. Make a decision that you want the reward, commit to paying the price and you WILL have that thing or those things come true for you.

When all’s said and done, most of us want pretty simple things. A better home, better health, better relationships and maybe a few baubles thrown in for good measure. What’s so unrealistic about that?

Don’t use the ‘unrealistic silly fantasies lie to keep you from taking action on your goals or you’ll doom your life to a groundhog day repetition over and over and over again while you ‘play it safe’ and ‘be realistic’.

Lie number four: ‘I’ll settle in first and do it when there’s more time’

What a great lie!

This is an ‘I’m not giving up, I just need to get back into the flow at work or school before I attack these goals’ kind of lie that you use to delay things until the time is right.

But wait a minute…

Wasn’t work, school or your other favourite excuse the reason why you couldn’t achieve your goals BEFORE New Year?

No, you know full well that lie number four is simply a delay tactic, that ‘one day’ lie that we all tell ourselves in order to get out of taking action when we know we could, when we know we should. You know, ‘one day when I have more time…’ or ‘one day when I have more money…’ (or whatever else you use to delay your goals).

Regardless of your ‘one day’ excuse, the results are the same… zero. Just like they are every year.

Now, if you’ve read this far you’re probably recognising many of these lies as ones you’ve told yourself in the past, and maybe even ones you’re still telling yourself now. But, like many people, you have no real idea about how to break free from the habit of creating ‘wish-lists’ and then lying about why they didn’t come true.

In short, you’re not really that sure about how to make 2010 any better than 2009 was are you?

Well, if that’s the case then you definitely need to keep reading because I’m about to lay out a strategy so simple, yet so highly effective that, if applied as I describe (the important bit) simply cannot fail.

Interested?

I bet you are!

Well, here’s the thing. It requires 6 steps.

Just 6.

Follow them all and seriously great things will happen for you, miss one and it’s game over on your goals. I can’t put it any clearer than that.

Ok, here is success in 6 simple, straightforward, easy-to-understand steps:

1. Know what you want

2. Know why you want it

3. Know when you want it by

4. Write it down

5. Know the price

6. Pay it

If your first reaction to that list is one of ‘is that all?’ then you’re underestimating the power of simplicity for achieving great things.

You see, that those 6 steps, whilst simple, really do form the most powerful goal achievement strategy on the planet. You’ll be hard pushed to find a single successful person on that planet who isn’t committed to using these six steps on a daily basis.

1. Know what you want
Sounds obvious really, but ask almost anyone what they want to achieve from their diet, their exercise plan, their career and even their life, and you get vague generalities at best.

Let’s be clear on this; Things like “lose weight” or “get fit” or “earn more” are not goals.

They’re not!

They’re simply wishes that are so vague and meaningless that you can pretty much guarantee that they’ll fail.

A real goal, on the other hand, is very clear indeed. It tells you exactly what you’re setting your sights upon meaning that you always have a reference point as to how near or how far you are from completing it.

For example ‘lose weight’ becomes ‘lose 30lbs’ or ‘weigh exactly 120lbs’. ‘Get fit’ becomes ‘run the marathon’ or ‘do 50 pushups’ and ‘earn more’ becomes ‘earn $100,000 a year after tax’

See the difference?

One is open ended and allows for excuses and get out clauses whilst the other hangs the target in plain view allowing you to measure your current level of success and adjust your course as appropriate

So, just what is it that YOU want? (Write it down on a sheet of paper RIGHT now!)

2. Know WHY you want it
It never ceases to amaze me that people will happily set goals that they don’t really care that much about.

They say ‘I’m going to do this’ or ‘I’m going to do that’ yet when you ask them why they can’t explain it.

This is the surest sign that a goal is doomed to failure and is a definite warning sign you should look out for when setting your own goals.

You see a goal, any goal, is nothing without desire to fuel it into action and, in turn, desire cannot exist without a strong WHY behind it.

But not just any old WHY. It takes the ‘true’ why to put any real power into your goals. Let me give you an example;

I coached a lady earlier this year who, for many years had struggled with her weight. She set goals all the time, sometimes reached them but nearly every time found that she quickly regressed back to her old weight and very often added a bit extra into the bargain.

When I asked her why she wanted to lose weight she looked at me incredulous, like I was really dumb. “Can’t you see how overweight I am? Isn’t it obvious?”

“So are many people” I replied, “but that doesn’t explain why YOU want to lose weight.”

“Because I want to fit into nicer clothes” she responded “I want to wear pretty things”

“Why?” “Because prettier clothes will make me look prettier” she said with her
discomfort now becoming obvious.

“Why is that important?” I went on.

“Because…” (she started to cry now) “…I feel ugly the way I am now….” She went on “… and I want to feel pretty so that I can meet someone and I won’t be alone anymore… I want someone to love me…” and the tears flowed.

Now, you might be sitting there thinking ‘poor girl’ and wondering why she had to be put through such an ordeal just to help her set a goal. It might even sound cruel in some way.

Well, let me finish the story and let you decide for yourself.

From the moment the coaching session ended, this lady began an amazing metamorphosis.

She lost over 50lbs (and is still losing more), looks happier, feels happier and now has a relationship with someone who loves her like crazy.

I asked her not long ago “What was the turning point? What changed everything for you?” and her answer was simple “I stopped lying to myself. I told the truth about why I wanted to lose weight, and as soon as I did I realised that not only should I lose weight, but that I MUST if I was ever going to be happy”

That’s what WHY does for goals.

It takes all of the shoulds in your life and transforms them into things that MUST happen, and that’s when the magic begins.

You see, the things you could do and the things you should do aren’t anywhere near as powerful as the things that have the power of MUST behind them.

Once you take your could’s and should’s to the level of MUST, you no longer look for reasons, justifications and excuses or other ‘get out clauses’ and instead you focus making things happen.

Turn YOUR should’s into MUST’s by defining WHY you want your goals.

3. Know WHEN you want them by

A goal without a completion date is like a book without words in it. It’s meaningless.

Until you define the timescale that you’re allowing yourself to complete any given goal you’re simply reverting back to the ‘one day’ lie and the ‘wouldn’t it be nice if..’ wishes that most people make.

In effect, you’re giving yourself an excuse not to take action and, as you’re well aware, without action nothing changes.

That’s why, whenever you know what you want and why you want it you MUST set a date for getting it. This adds a sense of urgency to your goal and reinforces the feeling that ‘every second counts’ which, in reality, it does.

You also get to measure whether or not your goals are on schedule or falling behind and, if necessary, exactly what actions it’ll take to bring you back on track.

So, WHEN do you want your goals to come to life for you?

4. Write your goals down and read them regularly

There is a definite sequence to taking a goal from concept to reality and it can best be summed up in three words.

Thought – Word -Action

Up to now we’ve been dealing with thought and deciding what you want, why you want it and when you want it by. This is all mental work and, whilst vital to the achievement of your goals, is by itself, not enough to bring your goals to reality.

You could say that, up to this point, you have a more clearly defined wish or dream but that, nevertheless, it’s still a dream.

To take it from a dream it needs to become real in some small way, either by verbalising it into words or, better still, writing it down.

It’s been shown that the act of simply writing your goals down increases the likelihood of their achievement by anything from 500% to 5000% and that reading those words aloud on a daily basis, even several times a day, increases the effectiveness even further.

Certainly every successful person I’ve ever met or interviewed has told me that they not only have a written list of goals, but that they read it numerous times a day and many carry their list with them at all times.

Why does it work?

Well, it’s simple really. You’re reminding yourself that your goal is important to you. More than that, you’re laying down thought patterns that turn into habits, habits which turn into actions and actions which, when carried out regularly, lead ultimately to your goals.

(If you’ve simply been reading this report and not putting your goals into the boxes I’ve provided, now is the time to go back… fail to do so and nothing changes, your choice!)

5. Know the price

Many people start out setting goals correctly, they know what they want, why they want it, when they want it by and they even write their goals on paper and yet, despite doing everything right up to this point, they find that they never make any real headway toward achieving them.

I believe this is because they often don’t think about the cost of achieving their goals beforehand and so, when the time comes to pay, they’re shocked, stunned and unwilling to do so.

The truth is, every single goal has a price that must be paid.

It might be financial, it might be time, it might be a change of lifestyle, it might be a relationship cost or any number of things, but rest assured, there WILL be a price.

Certainly, at the start of my own career (and even now to a lesser extent) my determination to have my own business, to become a journalist, TV presenter and author meant that I would have to pay the price of longer hours at work, less time with my family and a high degree of financial risk.

That was the price. I didn’t have to pay it but then, if I didn’t I wouldn’t reach my goal. My choice. What is the price of YOUR goal?

Figure it out now, up front so that you can decide before you start whether or not the cost is too steep and if it is, set another goal that you can live with and still be happy.

6. PAY The Price!

Hand in had with step five goes the obvious step of paying the price.

It gets its own category because, unlike knowing the price, paying it is an ongoing investment that you must consciously make every day until the goal is yours.

What we’re talking about is the consistent day by day, step by step ACTION that many people are simply not willing to take.

Sure, they come out of the gate well, they’re motivated to get their goal but, well, like just kinda gets in the way. One day they don’t take any action toward their goals, then two, then three and, before you know it, the goal has fallen by the wayside.

What happened?

They stopped paying the price.

Here’s the thing most people don’t get;

If you’ve been paying the price, and paying the price and paying the price for days, weeks, months and even years, then one day you wake up and stop paying the price the every single payment you made was a waste.

A waste of your time.

A waste of your money.

A waste of your effort.

A waste of your life!

You see, the only way to possibly get your investment back is to achieve the goal.

Anything less than that is throwing away a chunk of your life.

This might sound a bit over the top but nevertheless it’s true.

Once you start paying the price, stay with the goal until it’s achieved.

That’s it!

That really is all there is to getting what you want from life. I know I’ve simplified it somewhat but still, if you apply those 6 steps you’ll get what you want faster than any other means I know of.

I want to sincerely thank you for taking the time to read about the four lies we tell at New Year and the Six things that you can do to make 2010 your best year ever.

I know you’ve got lots of other things you could be doing rather than reading my blog and I appreciate you taking the time to read the whole thing.

I’ve done my very best to convey the exact steps that are required in order for you to achieve bigger and better things than you did in 2010 but, as in all things, what actually happens for you in 2010 is totally up to you.

You could brush this off as an interesting little read or as something that ‘you’ll get around to’ but, as I’ve laid out for you here, to do so would simply be to continue lying to yourself and, in the long run, bring about the failure of your goals.

The other alternative is to actually follow the 6 steps laid out for you.

Not kinda, not sorta, not almost but follow them exactly and see what happens for you.

Now, I can’t guarantee specifically what that’ll be but I do know that it’ll be something great and that, whatever your goals are they’ll be that much closer to coming true for you.

The choice is yours as to which route you take, but I do know this; one of those choices leads to certain failure and the other, certain success.

You now know which is which…

It’s time for you to choose!

Truth, joy and love

Dax Moy
P.S – If you’re looking to make some DRAMATIC changes to your life in 2010 then I highly recommend my 100 day goal achievement program The MAGIC Hundred which will guide you step by step through how to make the first 100 days of 2010 the most powerful and impactful 100 days you’ve ever had. But hey, I’m biased in this : )

The Magic hundred is the exact program I used to go from struggling to successful and is the program that Bob Proctor of ‘The Secret’ raved about back in January 2008 and since then the program has been updated and improved upon!

Go check it out for yourself at http://www.themagichundred.com!

Y’know, I’m sitting here in my hotel room in Florida where I’m vacationing with my family and was thinking of what to write to you today when something dawned on me.

Something really obvious but that completely slipped my attention until now.

Not only are we about to celebrate a new year but we’re about to see the start of yet another decade too… amazing!

Made me think about just how much my own life has changed in the last 10 years.

Back then I was on £5 an hour, lived on a housing estate and struggled to pay even my bills yet now I own several businesses that do amazingly well, I own my own home, vacation in Luxury all round the World and am a published author, TV presenter and educator.

Crazy stuff! : )

My life has totally transformed over the last 10 years with every single facet of my life from my relationships, my education, my income and every other area seeing massive and positive impact over that time.

What about you?

What have YOUR last 10 years added to your life?

Are you healthier, wealthier, wiser and happier than you were 10 years ago or has the last decade been one long groundhog-day where the same things have happened over and over and over again?

I hope it’s the former but if by chance you answered positive to the latter then I want to tell you that you can make the next days, weeks, months, years and decades stunningly different to the ones you’ve just experienced by making a really small yet amazingly powerful change to how you go about your life.

The change?

MAKE A DECISION!

That’s it. Make a decision for things to be different in your life in the days ahead… starting today!

The word ‘decision’ shares its roots with the word ‘incision’ and means literally ‘to cut off from all other possibility’.

That means that when you decide to get to your target weight, you cut yourself off from all the foods that will stop you from getting there, no if’s, no but’s.

It means that when you decide to double your annual income you commit to working harder, working smarter and educating yourself to a higher standard so that you qualify for the income you seek… no if’s, no but’s.

See, decisions aren’t a ‘I’ll give it a go’ kind of deal. They’re a ‘I’m gonna keep doing this until it works or I discover a better way’ kind of deal.

That was what I did 10 years ago. I DECIDED that my life was going to be great and here I am now telling you that it is… cool huh? : )

But it didn’t take me 10 years for things to change. The change happened right away, practically as soon as I was 100% committed.

Within 100 days (that’s just 3 months) I went from £5 an hour to £50, owning my own business, appearing on National TV and radio and much, much more besides.

Success can come REAL fast, when you know what you want and you DECIDE with all your mind, heart and soul that you’re going to have it.

YOUR success will come fast too, I know it.

Just take the next few days to write down what you REALLY want your next decade to bring you and ask yourself “am I ready to commit 100% to making that a reality in my life?” and if you answer ‘YES!’ then prove it.

Take some action, even a tiny one, right away. It doesn’t matter what it is, just take a small action to cement your decision in

reality.

THAT’s how you change your life, my friend. It’s nothing more than knowing what you want and acting on it.

So go act! : )

Truth, joy and love

Dax Moy

The MAGIC Hundred

P.S - If you want a little help with setting and achieving the goals that will shape your next decade and perhaps your life then

grab a copy of my MAGIC Hundred program over at http://www.themagichundred.com and come out the gate FAST in 2010 : )

**

End

Well, it’s Christmas day at last and I’m getting ready to hit Disney over here on my family vacation in Florida but before I do I thought I’d take a couple of minutes to leave a little thought for today to help those of you who are already thinking ahead toward 2010.

See, right about now I start working on my 1st MAGIC Hundred list of the year, paying some real thought as to what I want to be, do and have in my life during those first hundred days but before I do, before I start writing out my big ‘wish list’, I always take a little time to ask myself three questions related to my previous attempts at achieving my dreams.

Makes sense when you think about it, after all, if you don’t take the time to learn from both your successes and your mistakes then you’re dooming yourself to repeating unnecessary actions over and over whilst missing out on opportunities to do MORE of what works, right?

So what are these 3 questions?

#1: What worked well? - Simply taking the time to identify all of the things that worked really well for me in 2009 means that I can not only repeat these actions but commit to doing MORE of them… and sooner!

#2: What did I learn? - Every single success and ‘failure’ I make over the course of my year teaches me something and, as long as I pay attention to what I’m being taught, I can apply whatever I’ve learned to accelerate my results the next time around. Funnily enough, most people never really reflect on what they’ve learned in the previous year. Maybe that’s why they tend to make the same mistakes over and over and over and…

#3: What will I do next time? - Yes, I ask (and answer) this question BEFORE I set out on my next round of goals and dreams. This saves the make-it-up-as-I-go-along approach that most people seem to adopt on January 1st. By deciding IN ADVANCE what I’m going to do when faced with a certain problem or puzzle I’m going to avoid that reactive knee-jerk ‘thing’ that most people get when faced with a problem. Saves me so much hassle and negativity too!

So there you go, a nice short message for you today but, hopefully, a useful one.

As you start to think about what 2010 has in store for you over the next few days, try first asking yourself ‘the three questions’ and I guarantee you’ll not only set better goals in the first place, but will be infinitely more likely to have them come true.

And hey, if you’re game, why not tell me what YOUR answers to the 3 questions are right here on this blog? It might help you get clearer on what you need to do next : )

Truth, joy and love

Hey There!

I’m in Florida right now for my winter vacation with my family
but I thought I’d take just a minute to say ‘Hi’ and, if you’re
celebrating Christmas, wish you a wonderful Christmas day
for tomorrow.

And hey, if you’re NOT celebrating Christmas because your
religion or belief doesn’t celebrate it then, guess what? I still
want to wish you a wonderful Friday and hope that it brings
you everything you wish for : )

But before I go and hit these crazy theme parks with my
family today, I just wanted to share something about Christmas
and, truth be told, the celebration days of people of all faiths
with you.

Personally, I think this is amazing… I hope you do too : )

- All of the holy figures throughout all of the holy books
of all time have shared the exact same qualities:

- They all had the ability to love without limit, to share that
love and teach others how to do the same.

- They all had the ability to care beyond reason for all those
who they came into contact with

- They all had the ability to give beyond limits, often giving
away all they had in order to help others

- They all had the ability to believe in something bigger, better
and more powerful than they had actual proof for in their lives

- They all had the ability to stride confidently in the direction
of their biggest dreams, regardless of the ridicule and punishment
often sent upon them by others

- They all had the ability to see fears as nothing more than ‘tests’
as to how much they really believed in their purpose

And by these qualities, holy men, prophets, Messiah and
‘Enlightened Ones’ have changed not only the course of their
own lives but the course of mankind as a whole.

Pretty amazing, don’t you think?

But what’s REALLY amazing is that these qualities are in
each and every one of us has the opportunity to demonstrate
them not just at Christmas or Ramadan or Hanukah but every
day.

- EVERY day we can all show love and teach others to
do the same

- EVERY day we can offer genuine care and concern for
those we come into contact with (as well as those who are
afar)

- EVERY day we can give, no matter how small, to help
others experience life in a better way

- EVERY day we can believe that something better awaits
us rather than getting caught up in the negativity that we
often find ourselves enmeshed in

- EVERY day we can think about, talk about and act upon
our biggest dreams and inspire others to do the same

- EVERY day we can pull apart the fabric of our fears by
doing just one small thing that scares us

- EVERY day we can live out the message that Christmas
and, in fact, every Holy Day (Holiday) is supposed to teach
us.

When you think about it, every day WE have the ability to
do AMAZING things with the power we’ve been given…

…EVERY day!

Have a wonderful Friday. And Saturday, and
Sunday and…

(you get the message!) : )

Truth, joy and love

I got an email this morning from one of my MAGIC Hundred Goal Achievement Program readers telling me that although he was making great progress on his MAGIC hundred, he was still struggling to come to terms with his ‘big’ financial goal of breaking the six figure income barrier. He said he just couldn’t believe or see a way that that would ever happen.

I can’t blame him in a way, it wasn’t all that long ago that I was desperate to do the same and I too couldn’t see a way that I could ever make that a reality in my own life either.

Then one day my mentor Bob Proctor said, “You’ve got to stop thinking small and incrementally and instead focus on achieving the HUGE goals you really want. Instead of trying to increase your monthly or annual income by a fraction, set yourself THIS goal…

…make your annual income your new MONTHLY income!”

Now, when Bob first said this I was stunned. My mind rebelled and I thought it impossible. I thought of every reason why this was an unrealistic goal that couldn’t be achieved and, believe me, I found a good few!

But I trusted Bob and knew that he would never set me up for a fall and so I looked at it again, only this time I sought reasons why it WAS possible and, more importantly, how what actions I could take to make it a reality.

One of the first steps I took was to look at Google images of money.

Seriously.

I figured that if making this huge jump in come were my goal then it would be really useful to have a mental picture of what different amounts of money looked like so that I could visualise it and give my reticular activating system something to work on.

Well, the short story is, it worked!

Not all at once but I took my income to double, triple, quadruple and then 10 times my old annual income in a very short space of time. Then I hit my target and took it through to the goal of taking annual to monthly income and the rest is history.

See, what I realised is that the $100,000 that most people seem to struggle a lifetime for is actually very little. We should ALL be able to do this. Likewise a million.(I’m not there yet but I will be) : )

In fact, a big part of getting your hands on that kind of money is, I believe, not thinking of it as a LOT on money and, instead thinking of it as a ridiculously small target.

Because, in many ways it is!

I mean,look at this…

Here’s a $100 dollar bill. This is currently the largest U.S. denomination in general circulation and, unless you’re VERY unlucky you’ve likely had a good few of them pass through your hands during your life.

Here’s what $10,000 looks like. It’s 100 x $10 and it’s a little over half inch thick and would easily fit in your pocket. Amazingly, the average family only earns between 3 and 4 of these little bundles combined.

Here’s what a MILLION looks like. 100 bundles of $10,000. Still not too much to look at. You could easily fit this into a briefcase. Amazingly, most people (because of their limited thinking) will not lay their hands on this much money from all of their years at work combined.

What’s next? Well, what about $100,000,000? That’s 100 x $,1000,000 stacked on a normal sized pallet. Impressive, huh?

What’s next? Well, let’s get into Bill Gates territory and look at what it’s like to be a billionaire shall we? $1,000,000,000 is 1000 bundles of $1,000,000 which, as you can see is 8 full pallets of cash. Apparently, Bill has about 40 times this amount. Wonder if he’ll lend me some : )

But even Bill Gates is small-fry compared to the Rothschilds and Rockefellers who have wealth in the trillions of dollars. What is a trillion dollars? Well, it’s one million times million. It’s a thousand times one billion. That’s a one followed by 12 zeros.

One TRILLION dollars would cover an area LARGER than a football field…

… and those pallets are DOUBLE stacked too!

And the crazy thing is that the Rothschild wealth is conservatively estimated to be in the region of 15-20 trillion by many and as much as 100 trillion by others.

Can you imagine between 15 and 100 football fields jam-packed two pallets high with $100 bills? Amazing, right?

So…

Now that you’ve seen all this, think about that financial goal you really want to hear in the next 12 months or so. It’s not really so big anymore is it? You’re not asking for too much are you?

Think bigger my friend : )

You serve no-one, let alone yourself, by thinking small.

Truth, joy and love

P.S- Leave me a comment about how this post make you think and feel and what you plan to do about it. I really want to know! : )

With Christmas and New Year fast approaching, a lot of the conversation in the communities I run online and the businesses I run offline seems to be about ‘getting through’ the holidays and then ‘getting on’ with pursuing health and fitness, relationship and financial goals from January 1st.

Nothing wrong with that, of course (though personally I find that those who achieve the most impressive and rapid results are always those who start TODAY. Even in some small way), after all people are busy, they’re distracted and they have all manner of obstacles preventing them from getting what they want when the holiday season rolls around.

But here’s the interesting thing.

Considering people are waiting til ‘the time is right’ to get started on pursuing their goals(presumably ‘right’ meaning that there’s nothing standing in their way), there seems to be a lot of discussion about avoiding the disappointment of failure by not setting goals too high and not over reaching.

In effect, these conversations are saying “Don’t go for what you REALLY want, go for what you think you can get”

I can understand why people think this way.

They’re scared of ‘failing’ at their diets, their relationships, their businesses and their dreams so instead they play it small by choosing to rationalise and justify their goals instead of going for what they really want.

What they REALLY dream about.

Instead of dreaming the big, amazing, inspiring dreams they settle for what’s ‘realistic’.

In other words, they settle for what someone else has told them either is or is not possible.

I see it all the time in my London personal training studios where people who really, desperately want to lose 50lbs set goals of only 10-15lbs ‘because it’s more realistic’ and who, in doing so, rob themselves of all the power, passion and purpose required to not only achieve the big goal but, ultimately, the small goal too.

It’s true!

Most of the people who set themselves smaller goals because they’ve rationalised them to be more ‘realistic’ have just as hard a time bringing these small goals to life as they would have had if they’d committed to the big ones.

Strange but true.

And here’s why.

Small goals are all fine and dandy but, the truth is, most people aren’t looking for small improvements in their lives. They want big, Huge, ENORMOUS, life changing things to happen to them rather than small, incremental and often inconsequential goals.

Big goals get you out of bed on a cold, damp and dark winters morning. Small ones have you telling yourself “Go back to sleep, you can do it later”

Big goals have you sticking with your diet no matter what. Small goals have you saying “Well, ONE piece won’t hurt…”

Big goals have you thinking and acting big. Small goals have you thinking and acting… small!

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure this out does it?

The key to making big, dramatic changes to your life, whether they be in your weight, your fitness, your relationships, your finances or anything else is to set yourself goals that would literally revolutionise your life rather than those that only serve to rationalise why you can’t have more.

The word ‘revolution’ comes from the Latin ‘Revolutio’ and means literally ‘a turn around’. Your life turns around by thinking big, powerful, passionate thoughts of what you WANT from your life and then taking the steps to make that happen, NOT by containing your thinking only to those things that you believe are easy.

The truth is, those things that are easiest to do are also the exact same things that are easy NOT to do.

Pushing your plate away when you’re full is easy to do… but easy not to.

Taking 15 minutes a day to exercise is easy to do… but easy not to.

Saving £1 a day is easy to do… but easy not to.

There’s no power, passion, purpose or promise in the small goals that don’t really get your juices flowing. The real power is in those big, scary, exciting goals that, once achieved, would literally turn your life around.

In other words, Revolutionary Goals NOT rational ones.

Think big.

Then, when you’ve though big, think BIGGER!

Design the grandest, highest, most perfect vision of your goal in your mind THEN take that rationale mind of yours and break the big goal down into smaller goals and pursue them with everything you have.

You CAN be, do an have what you want y’know…

So, what do you want? : )

Set a revolutionary goal TODAY. Don’t wait for New Year. Set it today and you’ll have 3 weeks toard your goal in the bag before dawn on the first day of 2010.

Go for it!

Hey,

Want to know the REAL secret to being successful in life?

Something that even most of the Experts, Guru’s, Scientists, Philosophers and Clerics either don’t know or won’t tell you about getting what you want from your life?

Here it is…

They’re only giving you their opinion about what’s good or bad, right or wrong, better or worse in relation to their own view of things.

Just an opinion. Nothing more.

At one point the world was PROVEN to be flat.

At one point the Sun was PROVEN to revolve around our little planet.

At one point flight was impossible, it was physiologically impossible that a human could never run faster than a 4 minute mile and it was PROVEN that the power of electricity could never be harnessed.

Who said so?

THE EXPERTS!!

Like I said, you only ever hear opinions from anyone (myself included) based upon what they know or think they know at the time.

Choose the ones that serve you best, discard the others and outright make up any that might help you paint the picture in your mind clearer and brighter than it is now.

Be your own expert!

You ARE allowed y’know! : )
