Magic Hundred Challenge Day 4

Hmm, seems like yesterday’s post scared a few people : )

What happened to all the comments about taking action on your relationships, huh? Gotta do it guys, gotta do it. Make it your business to take action at every opportunity and success is guaranteed. Think about it and…

Ok, today’s challenge is simple; take action on an adventure goal. Only you know what your goals are, what kind of adventures you want to take and what you want them to be like so only you can decide which ones to pursue first.

It’s up to you.

But please, decide!

Take action.

Send for a brochure, call a travel agent, put a tent up in your garden and sleep out for the night.

It’s up to you but take action.

Action wins… every time!

P.S - Leave a post to tell me what action you’re taking toward your action goals.

well i’ve done this actually three days ago … i was flicking through the pages of a magazine and found out very nice tents that make me dream of an adventurous weekend by the sea… stylish, luxurious camping tents, so i cut the page out and hung it on one of my ‘dream walls’.. my husband and i later browsed the website and downloaded info + more pictures which we used on our screen saver

Well, mine is not an outdoorsy or vacation type of adventure. Mine is the adventure I hope to take when I get more clients. I finally started talking to more people about my training services and posted a note to all my facebook friends. Also setup a newsletter signup button at my site. These were big steps for me and felt like a huge adventure. Gotta keep going! Finish Strong!

I’ve researched and am going to buy a pair of tap shoes tomorrow! Over the NZ summer I organised a group of women to do some synchronised swimming/ water ballet. This is something I’d always wanted to do! It was lots and lots of fun! We were called the Wt Ht Btchs and we met every week for a couple of hours and then went to the pub. After a few months we performed our 5 min routine for about 70 invited friends and family and about another 100 stunned onlookers who happened to be at the pool that day. But now its heading into winter and so we’ve now decided to try tap dancing. None of us had tap danced before - about 17 of us tried it last week for the first time. We’re hooked - so this weekend I’m going to get some tap shoes so that I can do it properly! It’s really fun and hard work and totally addictive!

Great ideas, all! I’m impressed, mike guardiola and misspip. I love the idea of a dream wall, guacidl! Think I might steal it. :) I’m still debating on my response to this challenge but will post soon.

Leenie, thanks and I’m looking forward to your post. I love this. Like minded folks inspiring and motivating. Dax you’ve created something outstanding here. Also, I agree, the dream wall sounds cool. Peace all, MG

OK, this is kind of an adventure goal - I just e-mailed my gym to book in for rock climbing classes. This is something I have always wanted to do, since doing it once as a kid and loving it, but never done anything about. And you never know, it might lead onto a whole new career as a mountaineer! Yes I know, suspend disbelief…!

Also, yesterday I started to fill in the application forms and find out what documents we need to get passports for the kids. This will enable us to take our first family holiday abroad since having children (5 years ago). We already have a week booked in a house in France, so we are going! Next step will be to research camping and tents so we can stop off on the way there and back.

I like the idea of a dream wall too - just need to find a suitable wall and persuade dh that this wouldn’t be a crazy thing to do. Where would be best do you think - I’m thinking maybe bedroom?

Ok, I’m a bit behind as I started late and still have to read the manual etc. Lots to catch up on. Great work everyone though. Love the idea of a dream wall too. I worked towards one of my adventure goals today. I want to do the Lanzarote running challenge in November. It’s a 10km, 12km ridge run, 5km beach run and a half marathon on 4 consecutive days.

I have also worked on another of my adventure goals today. Have booked accommodation and flights for Dublin in October. Now I just need to enter the marathon for while I am there.

I’ve just e-mailed a dentist to make an appointment for myself and the children. We moved house about a year ago and haven’t registered yet (and to be honest I hadn’t been for a while before that, so this is long overdue. I really hate going so have put this off for far too long. Actually the two youngest children (3 and 4) have never been to a dentist.

Not really an adventure goal, but on my list and I did it, so thought I’d share :-)

I’ve wanted to go on a hot air balloon tour of the Oregon wine country for a couple of years. Lsst year my partner didn’t want to go and talked me out of it. This year he is in a care facility and may never be able to go with me.

Today I decided to send for a brochure anyway. As much as I’d like to share this with him, I also need to go for myself. Perhaps I can find someone who would like to go with me or I can go by myself. Either way I mean to go!

I used to skateboard back when i was in junior high, and lately alot of my friends have gotten longboards to cruise around with on campus and also to “bomb” some of the bigger hills in our city, i went with a few friends awhile ago and just borrowed a board and it was awesome so one of my goals was to get a longboard and thats what i did! just ordered a custom board off of ebay for half the price of a generic board in town, and cant wait for it to get here :)
