Magic hundred Day 16 - Your Life Soundtrack

This last 2 weeks has been pretty eventful, right?

Pursuing those Magic Hundred goals, observing a media blackout, going back to childhood with kids books and kids films to get you thinking in terms of possibility… it’s all been pretty different, don’t you think?

And fun?

I think it has!

Here in Thailand I’ve not read a single newspaper, watched a single TV news broadcast and read only books that I’ve found to be spiritually refreshing (alas, no kids books in English where I am but I read tons of Roald Dahl before I left for this trip) and I’ve got to tell you, I feel great for it.

Now it’s time to add another element… if you’re game : )

Keeping with the theme of going back to your youth I want you to dig out your old music collection and keep it close to hand during the entire day if possible.

When I say ‘music collection’ I mean all those great tunes you remember from throughout your life that give you a happy, uplifted and positive feeling.

Try to create a playlist of these tunes and add them to your Ipod or mp3 player and use the music to literally start your day with (play it even BEFORE you get out of bed), as you travel to and from work, while you’re at work if possible and also while you’re doing your ‘mundane’ chores at home like washing the dishes or peeling the potatoes.

Seems like a weird challenge for you, I know, but there’s method in my madness.. as usual : )

I know that having your favourite tunes playing daily over the next 7 days will change your mood and feelings about, well, everything.

Go get to it : )

P.S – What’s YOUR soundtrack going to be?

      Dax,
The Magic is working. Just a quick story about yesterday. One of my goals is to give something away everyday. Whether it’s an item, money or a helping hand. Well, here’s what happened. I had five dollar bills in my wallet. I used two of them to buy something. I figured I would give the other three away. Mind you this is all I had, other than the Magic million dollar bill. I could not find anyone to give the 3 dollars to until by sheer magic I saw a friend walking to an fro desperately by the discount movie theater in my little town. They show old runs of films that are on the cusp of going to DVD. Anyway it’s a fun place and this kid and his friend could not get money from the cash machine nearby. They really wanted to see one of the shows. Guess what the movies are $1.50 each. They needed $3.00. With a huge grin on my face I treated them to a discount movie. Just thought I’d share.

      Peace,
      Mike Guardiola

      Hello all~
Thought I’d share a website that might help you with this challenge:

      http://www.upchucky.com

It’s a virtual jukebox with all kinds of music. You can listen to songs from a given year ~ check out the songs for the year you were born. Quite the trip!

      Have fun!

      Leenie,

I like the Churchill quote. Upchucky rules! The songs on there are all the songs my parents had going on the home stereo while I was growing up. Good Times! What a great feeling!

      Thanks

      Dax and Friends,

I don’t know how y’all are getting on with the M-100. I hope all’s well and y’all are going at full steam.
Question Dax, or anyone who has done the M-100 before. Has anyone hit a wall? This weekend I hit a wall. Total exhaustion, overwhelmed. I have accomplished more in 19 days than I have in the past four months. It truly is amazing as I sit here and think about it. I can’t tell, is the wall true exhaustion of Fear of success. The next phase would be amazing if the next 19 days are as fruitful. I would be completely thrown out of my comfort zone. I mean way out. I have to psyche myself up. Any words of advice or encouragement.

      Much Success to all,
      Mike Guardiola

      Hey Mike

      I doubt that you’ve hit a wall buddy : )

Like you said, you’ve simply fit a lot of work into a short time frame. When you do this in the gym what happens?

You get a bit tired, right? : )

You’re just resting between sets my friend : )

The best way to get yourself remotivated is simply to find the biggest, most inspiring of your M100 goals and take some serious action on it… today!

Do in one day what you’d normally takes months or even years to accomplish (It CAN be done if you look for a way) and I guarantee you’ll get that boost again.

      Give it a go buddy.

      Attack something BIG!

      Dax,

      Thanks. Great rejuvenator!
OK, I’m on it. I guess I needed the weekend to rest before my next set. By the end of today I will be on to my next set and even next exercise, supersets…I get it!

      Off to attack something BIG.

Thanks again and much success to you and all M100 GoalGetters,

      Mike Guardiola
